How the score works

Each area scores from 0 to 3, for a maximum of 18. Scores of 0–5 are Ad hoc, 6–10 are Developing, 11–14 are Managed, and 15–18 are Measured. Your first priority is the lowest-scoring area; ties follow the vendor lifecycle from ownership through offboarding.
